POSITION
Graduation Coordinator:
Qualifications- CT Certified Teacher
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating between staff, parents, and community organizations
- Ability to manage event logistics including vendor/town coordination and digital media setup
- Ceremony Coordination: Oversee the full execution of the Closing Ceremony, including procession lines, seating charts (odds on left/evens on right), and coordinating the "walk across stage" logistics.
- Student Leadership & Speaking: Manage the selection process for the Student Speaker and Student MCs (one boy, one girl); lead rehearsals and prepare the ceremony binder for student presenters.
- Awards & Recognition: Coordinate with community organizations (DAR, Mikey’s Way, Easton Arts Council, etc.) for special awards; type award descriptions and prepare all physical awards/gift cards for presentation.
- Music & Media: Create and manage the ceremony playlist (including Pomp and Circumstance); coordinate special performances with the music department (Sax Quartet/National Anthem) and oversee sound system setup.
- Administrative Logistics: Verify graduate names for embossed diplomas; collaborate with the front office on "Save the Date" and reminder listserv emails; coordinate the RSVP process and Google Form for attendance/ticketing, making/printing the program, etc.
- Liaison Duties: Act as the primary contact for the PTO (decorations), Parks & Rec (staging/platforms), and Local Police (traffic/parking control).
- Facility Management: Submit "Use of Facilities" forms and ensure all physical items (podiums, mats, power cords, etc.) are secured and safely deployed.
Lead student rehearsals to ensure a smooth transition and proper conduct during the receiving of diplomas.
