Printopya and sister brand, NEWTYPE Publishing, is a small Print and Publishing business that prints over 2 million books per year. We help authors build, print, and publish their books. This is a highly project-based company with white glove service, where we assist our clients in getting their words and their stories into physical and digital formats.
Job DescriptionThe Project Manager will work alongside the Director of Operations to manage the day-to-day printing and publishing project activities. The position will be responsible to manage vendor relations, project schedules and book project timelines, activity deadlines and deliverables, delivery of estimates and quotes, and coordinating any special requirements for invoicing to be communicated to our in-house Bookkeeper. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and building systems and processes to increase performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability across the business.
Minimal requirements around the Printopya and NEWTYPE brands will be required as well.

- Starting Range: $22 - $28 depending on experience
- 270 Day Pay: 2nd Raise

* Any annual salary review increase will go into effect by end of Q1 of second year.
* Annual Christmas Bonus: TBD
Accrual Vacation: 10 days per year - .84 days per month

- Learn, manage, improve, and further develop the workflow of print projects
- Maintain customer relations across Print & Publishing clients and recruit reprint projects in a light, sales nurturing capacity
- Learn, improve and further develop a File-Checking System for Quality Assurance checks within the Print Project Schedule
- Learn, analyze and further improve an existing project management software system for all print projects and special publishing projects that will scale with the next phase of demand for the printing side of the business.
- Effectively manage our various service providers and vendors
- Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence
- Work with the Bookkeeper on all invoicing and collections of various projects
- Regular meetings with President and/or Operations Manager around accounts, processes, fiscal planning, company expansion opportunities, personal development, and consulting on any side projects of the employee
- Create, publishing projects and perform Project Data Entry six months prior to a project going live with all relevant book info from author
- Continually increase proficiency across several programs, including but not limited to:
- Google Sheets, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Work Closely with our Distribution Partner in Minnesota
