We're looking for a talented Commercial Product Photographer to help us showcase our products through professional, high-quality photography.
About the Role
This is a part-time, flexible-hour position based in our Redding, California facility. You'll photograph a wide variety of SECO products and take each image from studio setup through final, publication-ready artwork.
Your work will be used across SECO's website, e-commerce listings, Amazon, catalogs, marketing materials, and other digital and print channels.
This is an excellent opportunity for a photographer who enjoys working with products and wants to create real commercial photography for an established brand.
What You'll Do
- Photograph SECO surveying, construction, and geospatial products in our studio.
- Set up products, cameras, backgrounds, and studio lighting for each assignment.
- Determine appropriate composition, angles, lighting, and product positioning.
- Capture multiple product views, details, and features when needed.
- Select the strongest images from each photography session.
- Edit and retouch images using Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar software.
- Perform color correction, exposure adjustments, cropping, background cleanup, dust and blemish removal, and other necessary retouching.
- Prepare finished images for websites, Amazon, e-commerce, catalogs, and other marketing applications.
- Maintain consistent lighting, scale, backgrounds, and visual style across the SECO product line.
- Organize and maintain digital image files according to company standards.
- Work with the marketing team to understand product presentation requirements and incorporate feedback.
- Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient studio and photography workflow.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with strong photography skills, a good eye for detail, and an interest in commercial product photography.
You should have:
- Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and manual camera settings.
- A good understanding of lighting, exposure, composition, depth of field, and color.
- Experience with studio photography and lighting, or the ability to quickly learn studio techniques.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or comparable photo editing software.
- The ability to perform detailed photo cleanup and retouching.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing polished, professional images.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage digital image files.
- The ability to work independently and complete assignments on schedule.
- Good communication skills and the ability to respond positively to creative feedback.
Commercial photography experience is preferred, but we're also interested in photographers who can demonstrate strong skills through a portfolio.
