Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to serve students across various grade levels from early childhood through high school. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to meet the individual learning needs of students with disabilities, helping them achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring specialized support.
- Adapt math curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to provide a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
- Support social and emotional development through positive behavior interventions and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding student needs and achievements.
Desired Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education.
- Experience teaching a range of grade levels, especially within the 1st through 12th grades, with particular focus on middle and high school.
- Strong background in math instruction across K-12 levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom culture.
