Superintendent
The Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer and educational leader of the Pacheco Union Elementary School District—a semi-rural, two-school district located in Shasta County between Redding and Anderson, serving approximately 700 students total at Prairie School (TK–3) and Pacheco School (grades 4–8). Under the policy direction of the Board of Trustees, the Superintendent is responsible for the overall administration, instructional program, fiscal health, personnel, and community partnerships of the District.
Guided by the District's mission—"To provide all students with the skills needed to successfully achieve their future goals"—the Superintendent ensures academic excellence delivered with a caring, personal touch and sustains the District's strong tradition of family and community engagement.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Education:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- Experience:
District-level or site administrative experience required (Superintendent or Principal experience). A minimum of five (5) years of K–8 classroom teaching experience is desired.
-Valid California Administrative Services Credential.
-Valid California driver's license and ability to travel between District sites and to off-site meetings.
-Must pass a Department of Justice background check prior to employment.
