Clerk Typist I/Paraprofessional I
- River Ridge Elementary School (8.00 hrs/day) Shift
Schedule:
7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (1/2 hour unpaid lunch break) SALARY: $19.64 - $26.40 per/hr
- Range D Clerk Typist I (4.00 hrs/day) $18.78 - $25.26 per/hr
- Range A Paraprofessional I (4.00 hrs/day) (Includes vacation factor) 182 workdays (14 District paid holidays) Includes contribution to a retirement system and access to health, dental, and vision benefits with District contribution.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. Applicant must possess an AA Degree (or) have 48 semester units of college coursework (or) have passed the Paraprofessional Exam to qualify. Proof of meeting these requirements must be attached to application. Pass the General Clerical Exam at the 50th percentile or above. (Exam is administered by the District).
Type 45 net words per minute on a 5-minute timed writing. (No on-line certificates accepted. Typing certificate must be submitted with application and may not be over one year old). PROCEDURE:
The selection process will include an appraisal of individual applications and personal resumes. Candidates receiving the highest ratings will be selected for interview. (Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted). PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SELECTED APPLICANT:
Background Check & Fingerprint Clearance (will be required to pay a fingerprint processing fee);
Physical Assessment Exam;
Keenan Safe Schools Training; TB Test.
