Mammography Technician

The mammography technician is responsible for performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms to assist in the early detection of breast diseases. They collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Operate mammography equipment to capture detailed breast images.
• Coordinate with patients to prepare them for imaging procedures and address their concerns.
• Ensure proper positioning and technique to produce optimal diagnostic images.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Document patient information and imaging data accurately in medical records.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control standards to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure and certification in mammography imaging techniques.
• Proven experience in performing mammography procedures.
• Knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and imaging principles.
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot mammography equipment efficiently.
• Certification in CPR and adherence to safety standards.
