Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Ready for your next laboratory opportunity? A healthcare organization outside of Redding, CA is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join its laboratory team.
Position HighlightsFull-time | 4 x 10-hour shifts
Monday–Thursday | 2:00 PM–12:30 AM
Starting at $50/hour + benefits
Work across Hematology, Transfusion Service/Serology, Chemistry, Microbiology & Urinalysis
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on laboratory instrumentation
Strong focus on bench microbiology, including cultures, organism identification and susceptibility testing
Communicate STAT, urgent and critical values effectively to care providers
What We're Looking ForCalifornia CLS license required
Graduate of an accredited CLS program with internship
5+ years of progressive healthcare experience
Strong microbiology experience, including:
- Gram stains and rapid strep testing
- Anaerobic and routine culture setup
- Positive blood culture processing
- Plate reading and sub-culturing
- Organism identification and susceptibility testing
Comfortable performing QC and troubleshooting across multiple laboratory departments
