About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Provider Credentialing Specialist to support provider onboarding, credentialing, and compliance activities. This role plays an important part in ensuring provider information is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities

+ Complete credentialing and recredentialing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures

+ Review, verify, and maintain provider licenses, certifications, and supporting documentation

+ Research and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance

+ Send, track, and follow up on provider forms and required documentation

+ Monitor licensing boards and regulatory reporting sites for updates

+ Maintain accurate provider files and records

+ Educate providers regarding credentialing requirements and documentation needs

+ Prepare reports and templates using Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Enter and update provider information across multiple systems

+ Respond to provider inquiries while delivering excellent customer service

Qualifications

+ 2-3 years of healthcare administrative experience, including insurance verification, benefits verification, provider enrollment, patient registration, or related healthcare support experience

Preferred skills include:

+ Working knowledge of medical terminology

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

+ Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to accuracy

+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

Additional Requirement

Candidates must successfully complete a basic Excel assessment with a score of 70% or higher.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Redding, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
