Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our medical staff and enhancing the client experience through compassionate care and efficient medical assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with client examinations and procedures.
  • Take and record vital signs and medical histories accurately.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical office environment.
  • Provide exceptional client service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate client records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Support the medical team in delivering high-quality care to clients.
  • Under supervision of medical staff, monitors, logs, and report detoxification symptoms and/ or significant changes to Director of Nursing, Staff Nurse, or on call MD.
  • Medication pass (controlled and non-controlled)/ observation of self-administration. Physical documentation of controlled medications
  • Reporting medication errors.
  • Drive vehicles to pick up medications, transport clients, etc.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
  • Experience in a hospital or urgent care setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and internal medicine principles.
  • Ability to take vital signs accurately and perform basic medical procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
  • Familiarity with X-ray procedures is a plus.
