As an HR Coordinator at North American Mental Health Services, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources team, providing crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations. Your responsibilities will focus on personnel file maintenance, payroll processing, leave administration, and general HR administrative duties. Your role will contribute to maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring efficient HR operations within the organization.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legal requirements
- Process and maintain documentation related to leaves, accommodations, and other employee status changes
- Manage electronic and paper filing systems efficiently to enable quick retrieval of information as needed
- Ensure compliance with record retention policies and procedures
- Process semi‑monthly payroll, including timecard review and validation
- Maintain accurate records of employee time off, FMLA, and other leave balances
- Assist with payroll audits and reconciliation
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and time tracking
- Enter employee data accurately into HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and maintain database integrity
- Generate reports and compile data as requested by HR management
- Assist in the preparation of HR‑related documents and correspondence
- Track and maintain ADA accommodation records and documentation
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Assist with benefits administration and employee status changes
- Communicate HR‑related information to employees through various channels
- Support the administration of leave programs and accommodation requests
- Previous experience in office administration preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in Human Resources is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and integrity
- Knowledge of HR compliance requirements and best practices preferred
