Your Role
The Transformation Platform Strategy & Operations team plays a vital role in shaping the technical architecture to foster scalable, secure, and data-driven customer engagement across the organization. As the Principal Salesforce Architect, you will report to the Senior Manager of Product Management.
In this key position, you will design and oversee the delivery of sophisticated Salesforce solutions tailored for Blue Shield of California. This role demands extensive platform knowledge throughout the enterprise, with a critical focus on Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Engagement, and Marketing Cloud Personalization. Your expertise in APIs, Apex, Lightning, mobile development technologies, and integration/ETL technologies will be essential.
Your Knowledge and Experience- Mastery-level understanding of your job area with over 8 years of experience in Product Management, Management Consulting, or Entrepreneurship. A BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Health, or Information Technology is required.
- A graduate degree (such as an MBA) is highly desirable;
Certifications in your domain (e.g., PMP, Lean, SAFE, CSPO) are preferred. - Extensive hands‑on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including defining Data Model Objects (DMOs), configuring Data Streams, and establishing Identity Resolution rules.
- Expert knowledge of Marketing Cloud Engagement (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder) and Marketing Cloud Personalization (Templates, Campaigns, Sitemap development).
- Ability to comprehend systems architecture and craft scalable, performance‑driven solutions.
- Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth) and Marketing Cloud Connect configuration is important.
- Strong grasp of environment and release management, including code versioning best practices and deployment methodologies.
- Active Salesforce certifications are preferred, notably:
Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Consultant, or Marketing Cloud Personalization Accredited Professional. - Proven experience in defining system architecture landscapes, identifying gaps to desired end‑states, and delivering comprehensive solutions to achieve strategic business outcomes.
