Senior Manager of Programs

O2 Employment Services is working with a respected local nonprofit organization to hire a full-time Senior Manager of Programs in Redding, CA
. This leadership position is ideal for an experienced manager who is passionate about serving the community, developing strong teams, and improving operational excellence across multiple programs and departments.

Pay for the Senior Manager of Programs position is $28–32 per hour depending on experience.

The Senior Manager of Programs will oversee multiple departments and directly manage program leadership staff to ensure high-quality service delivery, accountability, and operational success.

Responsibilities for the Senior Manager of Programs include:

• Managing and supporting program managers across multiple departments
• Providing leadership, coaching, accountability, and performance management
• Assisting with hiring, training, and staff development
• Ensuring quality services and compliance across all programs
• Maintaining campus safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Monitoring program performance, goals, and outcomes
• Overseeing HMIS, Mission Tracker, and related reporting systems
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with documentation and reporting
• Conducting site visits and audits across program locations
• Supporting strategic planning and organizational development
• Maintaining professionalism in dynamic and high-demand environments

Qualifications for the Senior Manager of Programs position include:

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience coaching and developing teams
• Ability to maintain accountability and operational excellence
• Experience working in high-demand or fast-paced environments preferred
• Proficiency with HMIS, Mission Tracker, or similar systems preferred
• Clean DMV record
• Must be insurable through the company’s insurance provider
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening including drug testing

This position operates in both office and active program environments. The Senior Manager of Programs will regularly interact with individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use challenges, and mental health crises. Candidates must be able to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in occasionally challenging situations.

Travel to satellite program locations may be required, including occasional overnight travel.
