The ERSEA Specialist is directly responsible for planning and administering the ERSEA department services. The ERSEA Specialist will coordinate services with the Family Services Manager to meet the enrollment goals of the agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and maintain systems to track eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance of children to comply with federal and state program regulations.
- Verify income and eligibility qualifications of children and families, and ensure applications are complete and data is accurately entered into the Child Plus database.
- Create and maintain record‑keeping and reporting policies for waitlists, enrollment, attendance, timelines, schedules, and procedures in accordance with designated state and federal program requirements.
- Complete, update, and audit state and federal reports.
- Provide the fiscal department with monthly attendance for state billing and ensure enrollment and attendance are reported correctly to the state.
- Maintain enrollment forms, ensuring information is current, correct, and disseminated to all necessary staff to meet program requirements.
- Ensure full program enrollment and maintenance of a sufficient waitlist.
- Assist supervisor with Selection, Program Self-Assessment, and Priority & Selection Committee.
- Develop and coordinate training and provide guidance to staff, parents and community on ERSEA topics.
- Provide direct supervision of other positions, as assigned.
- Perform other duties as determined by supervisor.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret written materials, and to communicate with families and staff as needed.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentage and interpret and develop graphs.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Knowledge of various software programs such as Microsoft Office and data management software for child care, health or other social services.
- Experience with 10-key.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team member.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the workflow variance during the program year.
- Ability to read and interpret financial and wage documents such as pay stubs, W-2's, 1040's, etc.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
