The Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District (Shasta College) sits at the northern end of the Sacramento Valley, surrounded by mountains to the north, east, and west. To organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise the District’s data analytics and reporting functions, focusing on community college MIS, 320, and internal data reporting. This position will also oversee the implementation and use of data analytics tools and reporting services to meet user needs and requirements. Employees in this classification receive minimal supervision within a broad framework of policies and procedures. Employees in this classification direct, coordinate, supervise, and formally evaluate the work of others.

This job class exercises responsibility for the successful provision and supervision of data analytics and reporting services for the District, which requires specialized knowledge in the areas of data analytics, MIS, and 320 reporting. This job class functions at a full supervisory level of classification, is overtime exempt, and is not eligible for longevity benefits.

Range 35 on the Administrative Salary Schedule, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. Work assignment hours are 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises the daily operations and activities of the district’s data analytics and reporting functions.
• Analyzes existing data and reporting processes and makes necessary modifications to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develops, writes, and updates data analytics programs and applications. Identifies data-related issues and develops effective solutions.
• Research and analyzes federal, state, and local requirements, policies, and procedures to design and implement data analytics solutions for District needs.
• Identifies details of analysis studies; determines and locates sources for collecting data and information.
• Provides complex technical leadership to the Information Services department and the District.
