Custom Personnel has a client seeking Ornamental Welders for their fabrication company.
Core Responsibilities- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, shape, and join metals such as steel, aluminum, and wrought iron using welding techniques like MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding.
- Custom Projects: Build ornamental ironwork, gates, and decorative metal components according to client specifications or architectural drawings.
- Repair & Maintenance: Fix and restore existing ornamental metal structures to maintain quality and safety.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret shop drawings, architectural plans, and welding specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Tool & Equipment Use: Operate hand and power tools, welding machines, grinders, saws, and layout tools.
- Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA safety standards, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Proficiency in welding processes (MIG, TIG, FCAW, stick welding) and related fabrication technique.
- Experience with ornamental ironwork or architectural metal fabrication is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and isometric drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, artistic eye, and ability to work to precise measurements.
- Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and working in varied weather conditions.
