Office
Hours:
7:30 AM – 5 PM Monday - Thursday, 8 - Noon Friday.
The Programs & Communications Associate provides administrative, communication, and accounting support across Foundation programs. This role coordinates the lifecycle of grants, administers the Matching Gifts Program, and assists with accounting-related tasks in collaboration with the Accounting team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, enjoys people, and is eager to learn.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Program Officer Support
- Provide support to Program Services Department staff
- Support program priorities and activities across all Foundation focus areas
- Schedule support (grant tours, site visits, projected payouts, conferences, meetings, etc.)
- Clerical support
Grants & Giving Administration
- Manage grants from intake through approval, payment, and reporting
- Administer the Foundation’s Matching Gifts Program
- Maintain accurate grant records and databases
Communications & Board Report Support
- Assist with internal and external communications related to programs and grants
- Review, edit, and format board reports submitted by staff to ensure clarity, consistency, and completeness
- Coordinate with staff across departments to meet deadlines and organizational expectations.
- Help maintain templates and guidelines for staff board reports
Accounting & Operations Support
- Provide administrative support related to grant payments and financial documentation
- Assist with cost tracking, reconciliation, and coordination with accounting staff
- Help ensure grant and financial records are complete and accurate
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with staff across departments
- Clear verbal communication and professional judgment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Curious, adaptable, and willing to support all Foundation staff, board, grantees, and partners
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, tracking, and reporting
- Strong cost tracking and financial organization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with databases or grant management systems preferred
- Mission-driven work with meaningful community impact

- Broad exposure to Foundation mission and operations
- Opportunity to contribute strong writing, coordination, and grants management skills
$34.75 - $38.50/hr. commensurate with experience.
Position will be through a temporary agency for a 90-day trial probationary period.
