Position SummaryAs an LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) or LPT (Licensed Psychiatric Technician), you are responsible for providing basic medical services to patients in an outpatient recovery environment; maintaining standards of professional nursing practice, ensuring safe delivery of medication in accordance with company policy and procedures, and maintaining thorough documentation of patient records and medical files per state and federal regulations.
Pay Range$24 - $30 per hour

- Active and current California nursing/technician license (includes Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Psychiatric Technician), plus current CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and first aid certification
- Experience with triaging in emergency situations and assisting with medical emergencies
- Implement all aspects of receiving, storing, and dispensing controlled and non-controlled substances
- Perform as required by applicable federal and state regulations daily reconciliation of controlled substances
- Maintain accurate individual patient medication dosage sheets and urinalysis results per applicable regulations
- Administer medication dosages and evaluate patients for side effects or reactions
- Document and sign entries in patient treatment records as required by applicable regulations
- Ensure patient confidentiality and security at the dispensing window
- Administer as needed medication to patients who are locally hospitalized
- Provide appropriate documentation to Medical Director and/or Clinic Manager as required by applicable regulations
- Ensure forms are completed in their entirety
- Maintain patient charts and filing
- Ensure knowledge of, and observe, applicable federal and state regulations
- Orient new patients to the programs’ policies, rules, and procedures
