• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways.
• Utilizes assessment data to identify patient care needs, to include patient education and discharge planning.
• Recognizes abnormal assessment data and incorporates findings into the plan of care: validates and revises expected outcomes based on assessment.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities to include procedures, therapies, tests and patient education to achieve the desired outcomes.
• Engages in basic caring practices to include patient education focusing on psychosocial and physiological needs and serves as a resource to the patient for immediate healthcare needs.
• Provides compassionate and empathetic hands‑on care and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• 1 Year RN Pediatric experience
• If operationally able, will consider training opportunities for those with less than one year of experience
• Registered Nurse: CA
• Basic Life Support – CPR
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 months
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program

• Bachelor of Science Nursing
