Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Emergency Room RN

RN Emergency Room provides direct patient care in an emergency setting, delivering rapid assessment, nursing interventions, and coordination of services. The role may require floating to other departments as needed to support staffing and patient care priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Assess incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and provider orders
• Monitor vital signs, respond to clinical changes, and document care in real time
• Perform wound care, IV management, and other bedside interventions as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely care
• Maintain patient safety standards, infection control practices, and proper documentation

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing
• Demonstrate strong emergency nursing assessment and triage competencies
• Possess current CPR certification (and maintain as required)
• Exhibit proficiency with electronic health record documentation
• Show ability to manage fast-paced, high-acuity patient care while staying organized
• Demonstrate flexibility to float to other departments as needed
