Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (Med Surg Tele) provides patient-centered care to individuals across medical-surgical and telemetry settings. This per diem role requires flexible floating to support multiple units while delivering safe, evidence-based nursing interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and monitor telemetry and vital signs to identify changes in condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support care plans.
• Implement infection prevention practices and maintain patient safety throughout care delivery.
• Perform focused nursing interventions for patients with acute and chronic conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to support understanding and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of rhythm changes.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS preferred for telemetry acuity.
• Possess strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate charting practices.
• Demonstrate readiness to float across units with consistent performance and professionalism.
