Registered Nurse – Med Surg | Redding, CA | 13 Weeks Contract
Med-Surg nursing is where strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and compassionate patient care come together. We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse – Med Surg to join a dedicated healthcare team in Redding, CA.

Job Details- Position: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (RN – Med Surg)
- Location: Redding, CA
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3×12
- Experience Required: 2 Year
- Weekly Pay: $2,240 to $2,440
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients throughout their hospital stay
- Perform thorough assessments, including vital signs, pain levels, neurological status, and overall patient condition
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to physicians and the healthcare team
- Monitor IV lines, drains, wounds, catheters, and other clinical devices
- Provide wound care, post-operative care, and other treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Assist with admissions, transfers, procedures, and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Follow infection prevention, medication safety, HIPAA, patient safety, and hospital protocols
- Advocate for patients while providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification preferred or required by facility
- Strong knowledge of Medical-Surgical nursing, patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation
- Experience caring for adult medical and post-surgical patients
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple patient needs in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
