Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse Medsurg provides safe, evidence-based nursing care for adult patients with medical and surgical needs. This role supports clinical decision-making, coordinates with the care team, and promotes patient recovery through continuous monitoring and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and clinical status for changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Implement evidence-based care plans and manage post-operative or medical recovery needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and ensure safe patient handling and equipment use.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, verifiable RN license.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Maintain current ACLS, and PALS and/or NRP as applicable to patient population requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medical-surgical nursing workflows, monitoring, and escalation.
• Provide proof of required immunizations (MMR and Varicella) or approved declination.
• Complete credentialing steps including background screening and drug screening as required to begin assignment.
