JOB DESCRIPTION
Quality Control Managers work to understand the client's needs and requirements by ensuring company and customer quality standards are met. This role is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing materials, and recording/analyzing results gathered during testing. They conduct and/or supervise quality tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, and communicate test results. Additionally, they interpret project specifications and plans, ensuring the projects comply with project documents, regulatory agencies, and company health and safety guidelines.
Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities
- Execute comprehensive inspections to align with standards outlined in project plans, technical specifications, and relevant documentation, ensuring consistent high‑quality outcomes.
- Foster a clean and safe work environment, enforcing protocols among staff.
- Develop quality corrective actions to guarantee project requirements and specifications are met.
- Prepare and deliver reports as mandated, furnishing project managers and clients with requisite documentation.
- Maintain meticulous documentation for auditing processes.
- Ensure proper calibration and functioning of measuring equipment, proactively arranging repairs.
- Record and document test results methodically following protocols.
- Engage in quality calibrations and internal audits with professionalism and precision.
- Stay updated with industry knowledge through technical publications, seminars, and education.
- Collaborate with government agencies during inspections, fostering compliance.
- Work with project management to ensure projects are executed on schedule and within budget.
- Develop project submittals aligning with specifications.
- Perform additional assigned tasks and special projects.
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of quality control experience.
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards, and understanding of interdependence among functional units.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards.
- Ability to interpret written, spoken, or diagrammatic instructions.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Highly proactive and responsive to internal and external customers.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
