Seasonal - The Retail Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately while delivering friendly, efficient, and hospitable guest service in a fast-paced retail environment.

We are a marina resort on Shasta Lake specializing in Houseboat and watercraft rental, our resort also includes a full service bar and restaurant, hotel accommodations at our Lodge, a retail store stocked with all the lake essentials, and a full service gas and fueling dock on the water.

Retail Cashier

Department: Retail Store

Position Summary:

The Retail Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately while delivering friendly, efficient, and hospitable guest service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Balance cash drawer and report shortages or overages
• Provide excellent guest service by greeting, assisting, and thanking customers
• Maintain a clean, organized cashier area and professional appearance
• Process refunds, returns, and discounts
• Maintain knowledge of merchandise and pricing
• Answer phones professionally and assist guests as needed
• Follow safety policies and company procedures
• Stocking merchandise

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or cashier experience preferred
• Strong cash-handling and attention-to-detail skills
• Friendly, positive, and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• High-volume retail setting with frequent customer interaction
