To provide personalized service to customers by offering assistance and suggestions in product selection, ensuring the department is ready for customers, merchandising displays, and maintaining accurate pricing and signage throughout the department.

• Greet all customers as they enter the store and thank them as they leave.
• Demonstrate friendliness toward customers and co‑workers.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation within the department.
• Provide personalized customer service within the department.
• Promptly and courteously answer phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate person or department.
• Ensure every item has a SKU and is priced.
• Set merchandise in accordance with promotional guidelines.
• Ensure price changes are completed as directed by BPM.
• Execute merchandising plans as directed by BPM or store leadership.
• Ensure that the store is recovered, merchandise is faced, and product rotation occurs on dated goods.
• Assist in other areas of the store as necessary.
• Stock freight and ensure adequate amounts of merchandise are available.
• Assist cashiers and perform cashiering functions as needed.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks and duties as required by the supervising manager.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous retail experience preferred.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
