Installation Services Technician

The Installation Service Technician is responsible for assisting in installing products at our clients’ sites. Field Installation Technicians will work with a DGI employee at the client site and may travel with that employee. The role requires frequent overnight travel (DGI will pay lodging and per diem). We are looking for technicians based in or near Redding, CA. This is an excellent entry point into a rewarding IT career.

• Install and/or remove equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and company best practices.
• Unbox, stage equipment for pre‑installation configuration and testing, re‑box, and prepare for outbound shipment.
• Document and track installed equipment through IST documentation tools and standards.
• Maintain accountability and readiness of all tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment; secure the site each day to eliminate potential hazards.

• Experience leading teams.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No minimum educational requirement, though a high school diploma is recommended.
• High school coursework in shop, welding, mechanical drawing, blueprint reading, physics, and mathematics preferred.
• Prior installation or construction experience recommended.
• Must have physical strength, hand‑eye coordination, and endurance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage.
• Strong documentation skills for case management and knowledge capture.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication with staff at all levels to drive product development.
• Commitment to complete required training and development within assigned time frames; driven to attain relevant certifications.
• Capability to travel approximately 75% of the time; frequent long hours, weekend work, out‑of‑area, and overnight travel.
• Respond to inbound non‑technical support inquiries from internal staff, customers, and partners; articulate technical and non‑technical information clearly.
• Follow all safety protocols and report safety concerns.
• Work largely in a team environment with minimal direct supervision; strong initiative needed.
• Organized and analytical with attention to detail and accuracy; solve problems creatively.
• Perform administrative tasks (reports, expense reports, etc.).
• Maintain a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Handle tasks such as mounting interior/exterior housings or weather‑proof enclosures using tools like drill bits, tape measures, and hand levels while on ladders.

Pay Range: $18/Hr as a starting wage for all Temp Install Technicians. Negotiable based upon experience.

Other Notes:
You will be working with our valued clients and must be presentable, wearing clean clothes and appropriate footwear for climbing ladders.
