Salary Range: $18.00 To $22.00 Hourly

The Maintenance Lead Worker performs a variety of routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment, etc. This position uses leadership abilities and prior experience in the field to guide and oversee the team in various responsibilities and jobs under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

• Lead Maintenance worker staff on a variety of assignments and projects.
• Provide a solid knowledge base in plumbing, electrical, installations and fire systems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
• Handle certain replacements and repairs generated through the Facilities work order system.
• Work in cooperation with the Project Team on designated repairs, replacements, and projects.
• Perform general repair and maintenance of all building infrastructure and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis, which includes belts, fluid levels, filters, bearing lubrication, seal replacement as well as repairing and replacing broken parts.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures.
• Utilize software that controls mechanical equipment.
• Effectively utilize facility management software.
• Identify and correct safety hazards.
• Attend and complete safety training related to occupational work conditions and safety hazards as required by the Facilities Department.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks as requested.

• Current, valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Previous experience in a variety of maintenance and repair work
• Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position (see attached)
• Plumbing, electrical, installation skills and knowledge of fire systems
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools, and the ability to perform a variety of physical labor; climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time; lifting and carrying boxes, tools, equipment, and materials
• Adequate problem solving ability to identify issues and select action plans
• Competent to follow oral and/or written instructions

• Knowledge of fire safety laws and OSHA requirements
• 3+ years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
  
  Certifications relative to but not limited to HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing, etc.
