Industrial Electrician
Location:
Quincy, California.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in manufacturing facility.
- Maintain all components required to control machinery, including switches, sensors, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and operating interface units.
- Recognize and effectively identify hazards and correct electrical defects.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical systems and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, and lighting.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical installations.
- Install electrical conduit and pull wire.
- Maintain efficiency and safety of all plant electrical circuits, assemblies, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and install encoders, linear transducers, vision systems, and other advanced sensors.
- Identify and help implement process improvements to optimize performance and production.
- Effectively troubleshoot issues for best resolution while staying calm in stressful situations.
- Communicate effectively, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instructions.
- Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area.
- Work may consist of overtime during busy production times.
- 2 years of recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
- Understanding of industrial electrical safety, MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and their programming (preferable).
- Read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams.
- Up to $1,500 hiring bonus.
- Hourly rate $40‑45 per hour.
