HVAC Technicians

Multiple local HVAC companies in Shasta County are seeking journeyman‑level installers and technicians.

These are not entry‑level positions. To qualify you must have 2–5+ years of HVAC industry experience (preferably 5 or more).

• Perform installation and preventative maintenance on all HVAC control systems.
• Assess and diagnose required repairs with accurate cost estimates.
• Replace electrical components such as compressors, contractors, motors, relays, and diagnose related mechanical components.
• Change out gas furnaces/boilers, split air conditioning systems, ductless air conditioning, heat pumps, water heaters, sheet metal installation and transitions, refrigeration, condensate, and PVC venting.
• Procure all material in a timely manner to meet client service agreements for scheduled completion dates.
• Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment for facility and ground maintenance.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Perform all work to industry standards and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency mandates, and company directives related to building operations and safe work habits.
• Maintain a clean DMV and background record.
• Demonstrate a positive, friendly attitude and work well with others.
• Work in a drug/substance‑free workplace.
• Have experience with air compressors, pneumatic controls, building automation controls, and EPA certification.
• Certificate of completion from a trade school is preferred.

• 2–5+ years of HVAC experience, with preference for 5 or more years.
• Journeyman‑level HVAC and service technician skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for HVAC systems.
• Ability to procure parts and manage supply chains efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Valid certification in HVAC (e.g., EPA) is a plus.

Typically Monday–Friday, though scheduling may vary based on client needs.

Benefits depend on the client employer.

• For 2–3 years of experience: $18–40 per hour.
• Freshly graduated candidates: pay at negotiation (DOE).
