Associate User Researcher

Our client, a leading organization in the entertainment and gaming industry, is seeking an Associate User Researcher to join their team. As an Associate User Researcher, you will be part of the User Research Department supporting the studio and development teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and strong analytical skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

** Sherman, California (Monday-Thursday onsite, Friday WFH)

** Pay Range:** $43/hr

** What's the Job?*
* + Assist with user tests, including setup, breakdown, game review, participant intake/outtake, and experience reporting

+ Draft and edit research reports and surveys to gather valuable insights

+ Support senior researchers with data analysis, presentations, and supervised study execution

+ Provide design recommendations based on research findings and observations

+ Troubleshoot lab equipment such as consoles, laptops, and streaming software to ensure smooth research sessions

** What's Needed?*
* + At least one year of experience conducting user research for console video games or two years for websites or apps

+ Bachelor's degree in psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, marketing, communications, or related fields

+ Understanding of scientific study methodologies involving participants of all ages

+ Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple research projects effectively

+ Experience playing FPS is a plus! Please highlight your personal gaming experience on your resume
