Hours: Monday-Friday, 6.25 hours per day when school is in session and one day prior to students returning to school after the summer break (181 days per school year)
Qualifications- Must have two years of college credit; OR Associates Degree or higher; OR must provide evidence of having passed the State Board of Education adopted paraprofessional assessment which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading and writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instruction of those topics. (In Connecticut, the Para Pro Examination is the recognized assessment.)
- Previous experience working with young children in a school setting a plus
- Must be flexible, creative, have a good sense of humor, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed

Responsibilities- Assist students in one-to-one instruction and/or provide support for special education students in the general education classroom
- Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education teacher
- Collect data regarding student performance in the resource room and/or general education classroom
- Formal letter of application addressed to Jennifer Hankla, Supervisor of Special Services
- Three letters of recommendation
- Transcripts from post-secondary education
- Internal applicants need only to submit a letter of application with an updated resume to the Supervisor of Special Services
