Salary & Benefits: In accordance with the non-certified staff collective bargaining agreement. Salary range is $19.62/hour to $21.49/hour. Full benefits.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 paid hours per day when school is in session for students with an additional half hour unpaid for lunch (181 days). Daily schedule is flexible but likely to be 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Responsibilities- Support the daily operation of the high school library
- Assist students with use of digital resources, locating books/periodicals, and research materials
- Supervise students before, during, and after school as assigned
- Take student attendance each classroom period
- Use the Destiny Library Management program for circulation of library materials
- Charge and discharge library materials, collect fines
I} - Maintain an orderly, welcoming, and student centered library space
- Other tasks as assigned by the Head of School or Director of Learning and Information Technology
- Minimum of two years' college OR evidence of having passed the CT Para Pro Examination
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with students and staff in courteous and helpful manner and to establish and maintain effective relationships
- Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team, following direction set by others
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and workload prioritization skills are required
- Must be flexible, creative, have a good sense of humor, work well under pressure and demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Familiarity/willingness to learn computer word processing and Google Suite for Education
