Qualifications- CT teaching certification in Special Education K-12
- Certification in Multi‑Sensory Reading Programs such as Wilson or Orton‑Gillingham
- Prior experience working with students with special needs, including dyslexia
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organization skills
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed
- Work collaboratively with individual student teams
- Provide Case Manager services, including development, implementation, and monitoring of IEP goals and objectives; liaison with general education teachers; communication with home; running Team meetings.
- Attend PPT’s and other meetings for assigned students and present up to date information on progress toward goals and objectives
- Conduct and present educational testing results, using this information to review and revise current IEP goals and objectives
- Collect and manage data pertaining to various student goals and objectives
- Ensure that all class accommodations are being implemented in the appropriate settings
- Participate in professional development and other meetings with the special education department and school‑wide faculty
- Provide consultative services in general education classes; assist in adapting and modifying curriculum materials and instructional approaches; serve as a resource to the general education staff in regards to working with students with dyslexia

- College transcripts (official copy will be required at time of hire)
- CT certification in Special Education K-12
- Orton‑Gillingham certification
