Social Worker, School Social Worker

Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting elementary students as a vital resource in a school community near Redford, MI. This full-time contract opportunity for a skilled Social Worker runs from September 1st until June 16th, 2027, with working hours from 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

• Valid and active 310 School Social Worker credential.
• Recent experience working with children in an educational or healthcare environment, particularly elementary-aged students.
• Strong understanding of the unique social, emotional, and behavioral challenges school-aged children may face.
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop interventions, and collaborate with educators and families.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Provide direct and indirect counseling services to elementary students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that promote student success.
• Develop and implement individualized support and intervention plans.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Serve as an advocate for students, connecting them and their families to community resources when appropriate.
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
