Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Bodyshop Technician to join a busy and well-established commercial vehicle repair operation based in West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs, restoration, and refurbishment work on a range of commercial and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role would suit a motivated technician with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Carry out body repairs on commercial and light commercial vehicles.
- Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels and body components.
- Undertake panel beating, metal finishing, alignment, and structural repairs.
- Carry out welding and fabrication work where required.
- Prepare vehicles and components for painting.
- Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer standards and company procedures.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure a high standard of workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Liaise with colleagues and management regarding repair progress and additional work requirements.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures.
Essential
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Bodyshop Technician, Panel Beater, Commercial Vehicle Body Repair Technician, or similar role.
- Experience working on commercial and light commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and industry best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Relevant vehicle repair, panel beating, welding, or bodyshop qualifications.
- Experience with in a commercial vehicle repair environment.
- ATA accreditation or equivalent industry certification.
- Competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 DOE.
