We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy and modern commercial vehicle workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic
, Commercial Vehicle Technician
, Heavy Vehicle Technician

Working on a wide range of heavy goods vehicles, you'll carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to the highest standards, helping to keep customer fleets safe, reliable, and on the road.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Complete MOT preparation and inspection work
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
  • Repair and replace vehicle components in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards
  • Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
  • Work efficiently to maximise vehicle uptime
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop
Skills and Experience Essential
  • Recognised Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Heavy Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician
  • Experience carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and MOT preparation
  • Own tool kit
  • Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy workshop
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Commitment to delivering high quality workmanship
Desirable
  • IRTEC accreditation
  • HGV or PSV licence
  • Manufacturer or dealership experience
