Responsibilities
As an Engineering Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting your department by conducting comprehensive reviews, detailed analyses, and providing well‑informed recommendations for engineering requests. Your tasks may include:
- Research Support: Gathering and synthesizing data from company records stored in both hard copy and digital formats to support various engineering projects.
- Engineering Analysis: Performing in-depth engineering and cost‑benefit analyses for gas processing facility projects, ensuring that all recommendations are grounded in solid data and aligned with company goals.
- Simulation Software Utilization: Leveraging advanced simulation software to conduct gas processing analyses, providing critical insights that drive project success.
- Collaborative Engagement: Working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that all engineering solutions are practical, efficient, and innovative.
- Professional Development: Engaging in continuous learning opportunities and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
HYBRID:
Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 3 days per week onsite.
- Full‑time student in a 4‑year college or university engineering program.
- Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student.
- Must have at least two semesters or quarters left before graduation.
- Chemical and mechanical engineering disciplines preferred.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is required and must be maintained throughout the internship.
- Must be able to commit to one of the following 12‑week sessions:
May 27 – August 15, 2025 or June 23 – September 12, 2025.
- Downtown Los Angeles
- Monterey Park
- Pico Rivera
- Playa Del Rey
- Redlands
- San Dimas
- Solid understanding of fluid flow, thermal dynamics, piping systems and computer applications.
- Ability to analyze significant amounts of data and develop multiple options and scenarios in reaching decisions.
- Ability to manage and implement multiple projects and coordinate assigned activities and individual projects.
- Knowledge of project management software tools, PC operations, spreadsheets, CAD, mainframe, networks, and MS Office.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to convey technical information in formal and informal settings.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from others, self‑motivated to perform tasks of varying complexity.
- Must be able to work 30–40 hours per week during the summer (12 weeks).
- Must be able to work onsite 3 days a week from primary work location.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
- Must have reliable transportation; travel to various locations for site visits, tours, and networking events is required.

- Sophomore: $25.85/hr.
