Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery New to Specialty
For the Labor & Delivery New to Specialty position you must have a minimum of 1 year RN experience in an acute care hospital.
RANGE REFLECTS SPAN OF PROFESSIONAL LADDER.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional role functions in accordance with scope of practice and professional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and all other nursing personnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates the ability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge of theory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the ability to use a population based approach to determine patient needs.

Education / Training / Experience
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.Experience and/or training in leadership preferred, if acting as charge nurse.Certifications / Licenses
Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse required.Current BLS (American Heart) certificate required.Current NRP required.Current ACLS (American Heart) required.Basic Fetal Monitoring required or Introduction to Fetal Monitoring required upon hire or within 3 months of hire for new grad RN’s or RN’s with no Labor & Delivery experience.Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required, cert accepted upon hire or to be completed within 9 months of hire. (Intermediate not required once Advanced Fetal Monitoring is received).Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years of employment and then maintained Q2 years.#J-18808-Ljbffr
