Certified Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on an on‑call basis. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of basic patient care, vital signs monitoring, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. The CNA is expected to work collaboratively with the nursing team, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills.

$20.60 - $23.75, depending on experience

Per Diem – open availability required

• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or currently enrolled in program
• CPR Training
• Prior CNA or caregiving experience preferred

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with ADLs such as toileting, bathing, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Provide personal care, including grooming and hygiene assistance.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
• Provide patient assistance as needed, including feeding and medication reminders.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and requests, providing excellent customer service.
• Participate in activities to promote patient well‑being and engagement.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications are expected.
• Working knowledge of basic patient care principles.
• General knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques.
  
  Ability to perform ADLs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in the English language.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience providing nursing care in a healthcare setting.

• Experience in a hospital or long‑term care facility.
• Familiarity with electronic health records.
• Prior experience with patient assistance.
