About the Role:
Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking a Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our general surgery team at Redlands Community Hospital, a 211-bed facility in Redlands, CA. This position provides a unique opportunity for a skilled APP with experience in surgical care to work closely with our surgeons in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. With a flexible 40-hour workweek, this role offers work‑life balance and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for general surgery patients in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Conduct inpatient rounds, manage consults, and provide follow-up care, working closely with hospitalists who admit patients ages 15 and older (no pediatric admissions).
- Perform endoscopic procedures as needed (if trained and credentialed) and assist in minor procedures under the supervision of a surgeon.
- Document patient care activities in the electronic health record in compliance with hospital and SAMGI standards.
- Work at the hospital’s clinic located conveniently across the street, providing continuity of care for surgical patients in an outpatient setting.
- Participate in patient and family education, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and understanding of care plans.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active California NP or PA license and certification (or eligibility for California licensure).
