Associate Archaeologist
ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a full-time Associate Archaeologist to join our Southern California cultural resources team. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the region while being based out of our Redlands
, California office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of supporting both field and office-based cultural resources work.
- Conduct pedestrian surveys and site documentation
- Prepare maps, records, and technical reports
- Perform construction monitoring and archaeological excavations
- Conduct archival and background research as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- Support project and business development activities within the region
- Master’s degree or higher in Anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; 5 years of experience in environmental and cultural resources management in California (CRM) is highly desired
- Ability to conduct fieldwork and construction monitoring, including travel and work in challenging outdoor environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a smaller office environment
- Working knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulations
- Familiarity with the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of Southern California
This position requires hiking over uneven terrain, carrying field equipment, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
CompensationThis is a full-time hourly position with a range of $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
. Actual compensation is based upon relevant experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
