Automotive Technician​/Mechanic

Position Summary

, is looking to hire a skilled Emergency Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in San Bernardino, CA! The Emergency Vehicle Technician/Mechanic will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and testing of medium and heavy duty vehicles in various functions to ensure proper operation.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - PAID EVERY FRIDAY! $25 - $35 hr - DOE

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM

Qualifications/Requirements:

• EVT Certification required
• 2+ years’ experience working on Fire trucks and/or ambulances
• Must have the ability to perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus
• Technicians must own basic set of hand tools and wheeled toolbox suitable for daily use
• ASE or OEM Certifications highly desirable
• Trade School Certificates a plus
• Willingness and ability to advance technical training and certification in emergency vehicle repair
• Must have acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check.
• Class B CDL, DOT Med Card

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Ability to move and position heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
