Position: Foreman- Heavy Equipment Operator, Site Work, Excavation

Foreman – Lead Commercial and Industrial Sitework Operations

You will serve as a pivotal field leader, driving the successful execution of complex excavation and utility projects for a respected family-owned business. This role offers the autonomy to manage high-stakes site operations while receiving the genuine support of a leadership team that treats you like a person, not a number.

Coordinate daily field tasks and resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Supervise the operation of heavy machinery to maintain strict quality standards and equipment longevity.

Mentor and train crew members on technical tasks to improve production and reduce repetitive errors.

Administer weekly safety meetings and daily field reports using Raken to ensure project transparency.

Evaluate site workflows to implement the most efficient construction methods without sacrificing workmanship.

Collaborate with Superintendents to manage material deliveries, subcontractors, and manpower requirements.

Resolve on-site technical disputes and logistical hurdles to maintain a positive and productive site culture.

Proven experience as a Foreman specifically within excavation, sitework, and heavy equipment operation.

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, OSHA guidelines, and equipment maintenance protocols.

Expertise in reading and interpreting project drawings, specifications, and surveyor grade stakes.

Proficiency in using site layout tools including lasers, GPS rovers and theodolites.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and team leadership.

Approximately 5 years of related work experience in civil or commercial construction.

High School Diploma or GED.

Demonstrated ability to manage project expenditures and resource allocation.
