Evaluation Teacher Leader – Hugh Hartman Elementary School – Stipend Position (Open to Current RSD Staff Only)
Starting Date: July 1, 2026
Job SummaryThe Evaluation Teacher Leader position is designed to provide support and assistance toward meeting the performance plan goals at the assigned school. The role includes facilitating specific responsibilities that capitalize on the teacher leader’s strengths while collaborating with the principal and building teams, with opportunities for professional development and leadership skill growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as a member of the principal’s school leadership team.
- Create a positive school culture.
- Participate in systemic change and transformations necessary for school improvement.
- Engage in leadership development opportunities (e.g., CLT planning, curriculum implementation, Equity Collaborative).
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders about school leadership meetings, performance plan goals, and strategies for achievement.
- Lead and support CLTs: plan meetings, track progress, organize and post assessments, calendars, data, and progress.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and events outside of the regular contract day at the school and at the district level.
- Report team progress to the overseeing administrator and provide data for the school scorecard and SLGs.
- Assist in school-based initiatives such as RTI, CLTs, Scorecard, instructional practices, attendance, PBIS.
- Attend 1.5 days of on‑site training in August to prepare for in‑service week.
- Participate in the District Equity Collaborative.
- Partner with the principal to ensure licensed employees understand standards of professional practice.
- Support colleagues in navigating and using TED.
- Contribute to district evaluation team discussions and plans for enhancing RSD educator effectiveness.
- Strong depth of knowledge in instructional practice and teaching strategies.
- Commitment to collaborative learning teams that support all students.
- Commitment to equitable classroom practices.
- Commitment to professional reflection and continuous growth.
- Positive leadership skills and abilities.
- Strong technical skills in Google Apps for Education & Canvas.
- Excellent organizational system maintenance.
- Creative problem‑solving skills.
- Facilitation skills for small groups.
- Reliable team member.
- Valid Oregon Teaching License.
- Monthly leadership meetings (scheduled by building) – ~3 occurrences per month (10 hrs/month) – 30 hrs total.
- August Training & Planning Sessions
- Building Leadership Meeting – 4 hrs.
- Partners in Practice – 4 hrs (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM).
- Partners in Practice Meetings – 1.5 hr after‑school (four meetings, 4:15‑6:00 PM) – 7.5 hrs total.
- Various Leadership Duties (e.g., sub planning, building‑level committees, family events) – 10 hrs.
- Evaluation leader meetings with district – 3 hrs.
Stipend: $1,876 to $1,989. Compensation begins on the October paycheck.
