Evaluation Teacher Leader – Tom McCall Elementary School – Stipend Position – Open to current RSD staff only

Starting Date: Jul 1, 2026

There will be one evaluation teacher leader assigned to each elementary, middle, and high school. The role supports meeting performance plan goals and collaborates with principals and building teams.

Job Summary

The evaluation teacher leader provides support and assistance toward achieving the school’s performance plan goals. Responsibilities include facilitating school culture, participating in systemic change, leading and supporting collaborative learning teams (CLTs), communicating with stakeholders, and contributing to district initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the principal’s school leadership team.
  • Lead positive school culture initiatives.
  • Participate in systemic change and transformation efforts that improve student achievement.
  • Attend leadership development opportunities (e.g., CLT planning, curriculum implementation, Equity Collaborative) as scheduled.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders about school leadership meetings, performance plan goals, and strategies for achievement.
  • Lead and support CLTs: plan meetings, track progress, organize and post assessments, calendars, data, and progress reports.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and events outside of the regular contract day both in the assigned school and at the district level.
  • Report team progress to the overseeing administrator and provide data for the school scorecard and SLGs.
  • Assist in school-based initiatives such as RTI, CLTs, scorecards, instructional practices, attendance, and PBIS.
  • Be available to attend 1½ days of on‑site training in August to prepare for the in‑service week.
  • Participate in the District Equity Collaborative.
  • Partner with the principal to ensure licensed employees understand standards of professional practice.
  • Support colleagues with navigation and use of TED.
  • Contribute to district evaluation team discussions and plans for enhancing educator effectiveness.

  • Strong depth of knowledge in instructional practice and teaching strategies.

  • Professional reflection and continuous growth.
  • Positive leadership skills and abilities.
  • Strong technical skills (Google Apps for Education and Canvas).
  • Successful maintenance of organizational systems.
  • Creative problem‑solving ability.
  • Facilitation of small groups.
  • Reliable teamwork.
  • Valid Oregon Teaching License.
Compensation

The stipend ranges from $1,876 to $1,989 and begins on the October paycheck.
