Job Summary

These teacher leader positions are designed to provide support and assistance toward meeting the performance plan goals at the assigned school. The role may involve various responsibilities focused on building improvement, collaboration, professional development, and data analysis. Each building will hire three general teacher leaders for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the principal’s school leadership team.
  • Lead to create a positive school culture.
  • Collaboratively plan, lead, and support all school‑based CLT meetings (track building progress, PD planning, organize assessments, post calendars).
  • Demonstrate and share best teaching practices, including instructional strategies, model PLCs, and demonstrations.
  • Participate in systemic change and transformation activities that support student achievement.
  • Engage in leadership development opportunities such as CLT planning, curriculum implementation, and Equity Collaborative.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders about school performance goals and strategies.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and events outside of the regular contract day, both at the school and district level.
  • Report team progress to the overseeing administrator and provide data for the school scorecard and SEI goals.
  • Assist with school‑based initiatives including RTI, CLTs, scorecard, instructional practices, attendance, and PBIS.
  • Attend one day of on‑site training in August to prepare for in‑service week.
  • Attend one day of on‑site training on October in‑service day.
  • Participate in District Equity Collaborative.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong depth of knowledge in instructional practice and teaching strategies.

  • Commitment to professional reflection and continuous growth.
  • Positive leadership skills and abilities.
  • Strong technical skills (Google Apps for Education, Canvas).
  • Organizational system management.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate small groups.
  • Reliable team member.
  • Valid Oregon Teaching License.
Compensation

The stipend begins on the October paycheck.

Position Type

Extra‑Duty;
Stipend $1,876 – $1,989 per month.
