Civil Engineer Technician/Construction Project Representative (0-4 years of experience)

$65k - $85k, paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan, and 100 percent company-paid employee health, life, and disability insurance. Approximately 85 to 90 percent of family medical is also covered.

Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc. (AP) is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician / Construction Project Representative to join our team of successful professionals providing personalized engineering and construction oversight services to communities and clients throughout central Oregon, in the Redmond Office. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience working on municipal water, wastewater, water resources, utility, site development, and transportation projects.

The AP team includes engineers, construction administrators, natural resource specialists, technical editors, drafters, and surveyors, all working together in a positive, collaborative, and ethical work environment. This role supports professional growth, continual improvement, and meaningful contributions to the success of the firm. This position blends traditional Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) design and project development tasks with hands‑on Construction Project Representative responsibilities in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a project team to fund, plan, and design municipal water, wastewater, water resources, utility, site development, and transportation projects
  • Assist civil engineers with studies, technical reports, construction cost estimates, design drawings, and technical specifications for public and private infrastructure projects
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and project delivery plans
  • Coordinate project permitting and construction engineering activities
  • Participate in and assist with public presentations
  • Perform construction site observations, including on-site review and verification of construction conformance with drawings and specifications
  • Document construction activities, review contractor pay requests, and track quantities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) (with experience preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
