Industry leading manufacturer in the Redmond, OK area is seeking a
Director of Business Unit Finance
. This role is responsible for driving the financial strategy, commercial analysis, and operational performance of a specific business segment to maximize growth and profitability. The Director blends rigorous corporate finance discipline with deep commercial acumen—evaluating pricing strategies, product pipelines, market expansion opportunities, and resource allocation. By translating complex financial metrics into commercial execution, this role ensures the business unit achieves its long‑term revenue and margin objectives.
Strategic Business Partnership: Act as the primary financial partner to the BU leadership team, providing commercial insights, financial guardrails, and strategic scenarios to guide executive decision‑making.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the BU’s specific financial planning cycle, including the annual operating plan (AOP), rolling forecasts, and strategic 3‑to‑5‑year long‑range plans.
Commercial & Pricing Strategy: Analyze product and customer profitability, contract valuations, discount structures, and pricing models to protect and expand gross margins.
Performance Benchmarking: Deliver monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs), synthesizing P&L variances, market share data, and operational KPIs into clear narratives for corporate executive leadership.
Growth & Investment Evaluation: Lead the financial vetting for business unit initiatives, including new product introductions (NPI), capital investments, regional expansions, and potential M&A or joint‑venture targets.
Working Capital & Cash Flow Management: Partner with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to optimize working capital variables specific to the BU, focusing on inventory turns and Accounts Receivable (DSO) metrics.
Team Leadership & Development: Hire, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of finance managers and analysts, cultivating a culture of high accountability and business‑first thinking.
Experience: 8 to 12 years of progressive corporate finance, FP&A, or commercial finance experience, with at least 4 years of experience leading finance teams within a matrixed corporate structure or distinct business unit.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or business‑related field. An MBA, CFA, or CMA designation is highly preferred.
Commercial Acumen: Strong background in commercial finance, including pricing optimization, margin analysis, go‑to‑market financial modeling, and customer/product portfolio management.

Skills:
Advanced financial modeling expertise and comfort navigating complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools (e.g., Anaplan, One Stream, Hyperion).Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and storytelling skills; a proven track record of effectively challenging and influencing non‑financial commercial leaders and sales executives.
