The distillery offers a 1920’s Speakeasy tasting room experience where guests can sample signature products and learn about the distillation process and brand heritage story. Team members collaborate closely to deliver attentive service and share product knowledge with visitors.
The environment is fast‑paced yet friendly, providing opportunities to grow skills in hospitality and beverage service.
This is a part‑time, on‑site Bartender role based at Gompers Distillery and Speakeasy in Redmond, OR. The Bartender prepares and serves cocktails and spirits, provides tastings, and explains flavor profiles and production methods to guests. Day‑to‑day tasks include greeting and engaging visitors, recommending beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar and tasting area, and following all safety and alcohol service regulations.
The Bartender also handles cash and electronic payments, operates the POS system, and supports opening and closing procedures. Collaborating with the team, the Bartender helps create a positive guest experience and may assist with events, tours, and promotions.
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage guests, answer questions, and provide a welcoming experience.
- Hands‑on Mixology/Bartending skills, including mixing drinks, presenting tastings, and following recipes and service standards.
- Accurate Cash Handling skills with experience using POS systems, processing payments, and reconciling sales.
- Knowledge of or interest in craft spirits, distillation processes, and local products.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderately heavy items, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed.
- Valid alcohol service permit or ability to obtain one in accordance with Oregon regulations.
- Previous experience in bartending, tasting rooms, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
